The smallest hole pattern of perforated metal is determined by the thickness of the sheet metal. In general, the hole diameter of perforated metal cannot be less than the thickness of the sheet metal. The smallest hole diameter of perforated metal produced by a punching machine can be as small as 0.4mm.
Perforated metal with a hole diameter of 0.4mm can be used with sheet metal thicknesses of 0.3mm, 0.2mm, and 0.1mm, among others.
For perforated metal products with a sheet metal thickness of 1.0mm or less, the minimum hole diameter is 1.0mm;
For perforated metal products with a sheet metal thickness of 2.0mm or less, the minimum hole diameter is 2.0mm;
For perforated metal products with a sheet metal thickness of 2.5mm or less, the minimum hole diameter is 2.5mm;
and so on. The hole diameter of perforated metal cannot be smaller than the thickness of the sheet metal used to produce it.
